Community Emergency Response Team

During large scale emergencies, requests for police and fire assistance can overwhelm the system. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) initiative prepares citizens to care for themselves and their families in case of a disaster.

This free, nine week course teaches citizens basic emergency response skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue and disaster medical operations.

Using the training learned in this class, CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace until first responders can respond.

To register for this class, call 817-685-1600 or download the CERT Brochure.
