Employment Fraud occurs when someone uses your personal information in order to gain employment. Most victims usually learn they are a victim of Employment Fraud after the IRS has contacted them about under-reported income. The IRS will usually advise victims to make a report with your local police department. Before you contact the police department, please complete the Identity Theft Affidavit, so the IRS can release the information to the police department. This helps the appropriate agency to investigate the matter.
