CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PLAN PROJECTS
Work on Phase III of the Reclaimed Water System Expansion continues. Final completion of this project is anticipated in this month.
The Water Well Replacement Project is well underway with drilling and testing activities on the Far North well having been completed. The sound blanket wall has been removed and full N. Main Street traffic flow has been restored. At the Fuller Well site, drilling activities have been completed and testing is scheduled to begin this month. The contract for all the above ground equipment portion of the project has been awarded and this work should start within the next 60 days.
The Bear Creek Parkway/Ash Lane and Fuller-Wiser Road/Midway Drive Street Replacement Project is rapidly nearing completion. Concrete pavement placement on Fuller-Wiser Road and Midway Drive has been completed, as well as on all of Bear Creek Parkway and the north side of Ash Lane. This project should be finished by the end of June.
The 45th Year CDBG project is 60% approximately complete. This project consists of the replacement of approximately 2,409 linear feet of sewer pipe between Stonewall Drive and Milam Drive, from Limestone Drive to Ector Drive, between Freestone Drive and Ector Drive, and on the south side of Milam Drive and Limestone Drive. The project is currently experiencing delays related to equipment and labor due to the impacts of the COVID-19 restrictions. The contractor expects to be back on site by the end of this month, and will be working diligently to complete the job expeditiously.
The traffic signal installation project at Cheek-Sparger Road at Heritage Avenue, which began in February, is nearing completion. Pavement work is complete and traffic signal poles and hardware are due to be installed this month.
