Purpose

The purpose is to fund the construction of needed public infrastructure to encourage private development that will yield additional tax revenue to all local taxing jurisdictions.

Duties

Make recommendations to the City Council concerning the administration, management and operation of the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone. Prepare and adopt a project plan and a Reinvestment Zone financing plan for the Zone.

Membership

There are seven directors. Four members are designated by the City Council and one member each is designated by Tarrant County, the Tarrant County College District and the Tarrant County Hospital District.

Meetings

The Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone meets on an as-needed basis.
