Boards and Commissions

The City of Euless has fourteen Boards and Commissions established by the City Charter, City Council, or State Law. Board members are appointed by the City Council for two or three-year terms, with certain boards requiring an Oath of Office and a Statement of Appointed Official to affirm ethical behavior.

Board appointees provide invaluable public service, shaping the quality of life in Euless and reflecting our community's diverse interests. The City of Euless greatly appreciates the dedication and service of our board members.

Applying

The City Secretary administers the appointment process for volunteer service on boards, commissions, and committees. Applications are accepted during the "call for applications" period, typically in the third/fourth quarter of each year, for boards, commissions, or committees with current openings. The City Council reviews applications and may conduct interviews. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by letter.  Historical Preservation CommitteeApplications are accepted year-round.

Qualifications

  • Must be a resident of the City of Euless, Texas

  • Must show interest and enthusiasm about the mission and efforts of the board

  • Must commit to the required volunteer time as a member or alternate

  • Must conduct themselves to avoid actual and potential conflicts of interest
