Carr Park’s Transformation is Complete!
Dedicated in 1975, J.A. Carr Park has always been a pretty park that’s fun to visit, but now it’s even better than ever. The park has been enhanced through the addition of picnic stations, upgraded playground equipment, parking improvements, fitness stations and an expanded trail network that connects to the north side of the creek with the addition of two walking bridges.
Children will especially enjoy the new dinosaur dig and new playground equipment, which includes a ZipKrooz®. Although similar to a zip line, ZipKrooz is a two-way, smooth ride with a comfortable seat suspended by a rubber-wrapped chain. It provides exciting and safe play for ages 5 to 12.
New enhancements at Carr Park:
- Dino dig for kids
- 4 permanent cornhole boards
- Colorful playground equipment with ZipKrooz
- Picnic tables with shady seating areas
- Fitness stations along walkways
- Expanded walking/jogging trails
- Two walking bridges over creek
- Gazebo for special events
No matter what type of activity you want to do, Carr Park is a great place to go. It even has the Simmons Center, which you can rent for special events. Check out the improved Carr Park today!
