Tax Fraud
Tax fraud occurs when someone fraudulently files your taxes so that they can divert the refund. After contacting the IRS they will usually advised you to make a report with your local police department.
Before contacting the police department please completes the Identity Theft Affidavit. This affidavit along, with a copy of your police report will be forwarded to the IRS on your behalf for investigation.
We cannot investigate these cases because the necessary documentation we would need to prove a criminal case is not available to us under federal law.
