2019 General and Special Elections

A candidate must be a resident of the City for at least one year immediately preceding the date of the election, shall be a registered voter of the State of Texas, and shall not have been finally convicted of a felony criminal offense. 

Forms and information for the 2019 City of Euless General and Special Elections are available in the City Secretary’s Office located at 201 N. Ector Drive, in the City Hall building.

The City Secretary’s regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

General Election Candidate Filing Information

This year the positions for Council Place 1 and Place 3 will be elected in the General Election.

The filing period for a place on the May 4, 2019 General Election ballot begins Wednesday, January 16, 2019, and will continue through Friday, February 15, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. 

Special Election Candidate Filing Information

The City Council has declared a vacancy in the office of City Council Place 4 and a special election will be held to fill the vacancy for the unexpired term (expiring May 2020).

The filing period for a place on the May 4, 2019, Special Election ballot begins Saturday, February 2, 2019, and will continue through Monday, March 4, 2019, at 5:00 p.m.
