Ash Lane Update
Here are the latest road construction updates for Ash Lane:
Construction plans are available for viewing by the public in the Office of the City Engineer in the Engineering and Development Building at the City Hall Campus at 201 N. Ector Drive.
A one-way westbound traffic operation is underway and will remain in effect during construction.
Concrete pavement is complete on the north side of Ash Lane and is open to traffic.
The south side of the project has been excavated.
During the excavation of the south side, the contractor determined that the existing water line which was installed over 30 years ago is not of sufficient depth and must be replaced.
Our Engineering staff has examined the location and condition of the line and they concur with the contractor's recommendation.
We are awaiting a quote for the additional work which can be covered within the current budget but it will cause a delay on preparing the south side for pavement.
