Children's Services

The Children's Services Department offers a variety of services and programs for youth, from toddlers to young adults. We are here to help you with your needs, from finding information for a school report to finding a good book to read. Come see us!

Special Programs and Events

The Children's Department creates new and exciting programs all year long so visit the Children's Reference Desk often or call us at 817-685-1493 to find out what's new. Also be sure to check the Library Newsletter for a list of upcoming events.

Storytimes

  • Pat-a-cake Nursery Rhyme Time
    (Ages 0 - 23 Months)
    Tuesdays or Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.

    An interactive time for babies and a caregiver with nursery rhymes, songs, and fun.

  • 2-Year-Old Storytime
    (2 Year Olds)
    Tuesdays or Fridays at 11:00 a.m.

    30 minutes full of books, songs, and activities for active toddlers.

  • Preschool Storytime
    (Ages 3 - 5 Years)
    Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m.

    Join us for stories, fingerplays, and activities for preschoolers.

  • Family Storytime
    Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.

    Stories, activities, and fun for the whole family.

Due to increased attendance during the summer and limited space, story times may reach capacity. Capacity is determined by fire code. We cannot guarantee entry to programs.
