Job Summary:
Under general supervision of the Athletic Supervisor, assist in organizing and implementing recreational activities and programs for citizens. Promotes programs and services and encourages participation from citizens.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Leisure studies, Physical Education, or related field preferred or three years of progressively responsible experience in the athletic field. Knowledge of recreation principles and dynamics of programming. Working knowledge of recreational athletic program implementation, and evaluation of programs, activities and staff. Knowledge of public relation practices and principles. Ability to cooperate and interpret recreational philosophies to public. Ability to utilize PC to produce memos, reports, program flyers and brochures, as well as class registration. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to work additional hours in the evenings and weekends due to the nature of particular programs.

Principal Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist in developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating leagues, camps and athletic activities. Encourages and promotes participation among citizens. Assist in recruiting and evaluating seasonal staff and contract labor; assist in determining schedules and fees; assist in preparing program information for brochure publication and registration; enrolls participants; informs participants of schedule changes, cancellations, and refunds. Assist in preparing and maintaining daily revenue reports for athletic complex, facility rentals, special events and athletic programs. Assist in maintaining general office functions and operations.
