Salary: $7.25 per hour
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 15 years old. Must have current Red Cross Lifeguard training or equivalent. Will be required to pass test given by the City. Must pass a drug test and physical assessment. Position starts Mid-May 2010.
Responsibilities:
Rescue swimmers (life saving procedures, first aid, etc.); monitors pool activities and enforces rules; assists in maintaining cleanliness/appearance of pool facilities. Performs cashier duties, greets patrons, answers phones courteously and professionally, compiles accurate reports, controls admissions to pool facilities.
Functional Job Description:
sitting; standing; walking; walking and standing = 80 to 90% of day; general conditioning by lifeguard certification. Stair climbing; pushing and pulling up to 60 lbs; stair/ladder climbing; Job is related to environmental conditions, including excessive heat.
