Euless Fire Stations join Project Safe Place

Safe Place

In 2001, the City of Euless joined the Project Safe Place program by designating its three fire stations as safe locations for youth to go in a time of crisis.

Safe places provide temporary shelter to young people in crisis. They are secure places where any young person in need can walk in and ask for help. The Bridge Emergency Youth Services is then contacted and within minutes a volunteer or staff counselor arrives to offer assistance. Safe Place puts distressed children and their families in touch with resources they need to keep safe and provide support and guidance to the family.

Euless' three fire stations are located at 201 E. Ash Lane, 1515 Westpark Way and 202 S. Main.

In Tarrant County, Safe Place is operated by The Bridge Emergency Youth Services. The Bridge is a non-profit agency providing licensed emergency youth shelter and counseling and is funded by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. The program began in Arlington in March of 2000 and is now expanding into 48 fire stations in 16 communities throughout Tarrant County.

The Safe Place goal is to have the Safe Place sign recognized nationally as a symbol of help and safety for any young people who are lost or scared, abused, threatened or in any unsafe situation.
