Residential Fee Revisions
Some residential fees were revised recently to provide more consistency and ease in calculating fees.
- Residential roofing permits will no longer be required. This fee was previously $50.
- Residential landscape irrigation permit fees will be calculated based on the square foot of the landscape to be irrigated. This will allow residents to only pay for the area that they are irrigating.
- Residential water heater replacement will be set at a flat fee to provide a fair and consistent fee based on the heater rather than the value of the labor.
- Fence permits are only required if a new fence is being constructed or if new posts are being put in place. Fence permit fees will be charged based on the linear foot and fencing type.
In many cases, the reported value of work varies widely. By providing a set formula, we can standardize the valuation of work conducted and provide an equitable fee for the resident.
