2010 Arbor Day Poem Winner
This poem was selected as the winner of the 5th Arbor Daze "Poe-TREE" contest to celebrate Arbor Day in the City of Euless on April 23, 2010.
Through the Year
Throughout the year you're changing
Different every day
Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall
But always there to stay.
Winter arrives
The cold winds blow
Your bare branches covered
With glittering snow.
Spring is here
It's time to make room
Your branches are colored
With blossoms and blooms.
In the hot summer sun
You sway and you lean
Your branches are clothed
With robes of green.
Autumn has come
In fire like shades
Your branches are painted
A colorful blaze.
Clothes for every season
Standing out in every way
You go through many changes,
But never go away.
