Teen Court Seeks Volunteers

The Hurst-Euless-Bedford Teen Court, cosponsored by the Cities of Hurst, Euless, and Bedford, is a deferred program that allows juveniles with Class C misdemeanor offenses, an alternative to the criminal justice system. Offenders' cases are presented to a jury of their peers by volunteer teen attorneys. Teen jury members assign a community service sentence and upon successful completion of the program, the offenders' cases are dismissed and removed from their record.

HEB Teen Court is currently looking for adult volunteers who would like to serve as Jury and/or Master Jury Monitors and Court Clerks. With as little as 2-3 hours every three months, you can help positively influence a teen's life in a fun environment.

There are many great benefits of volunteering with Teen Court! Best of all, no experience is necessary. If you would like to become a part of this dynamic program please contact Teen Court Coordinator Mindy Eichorst at 817-952-2468 or mindy.eichorst@ci.bedford.tx.us or visit www.EulessTX.gov/courts for more information.
