2009 Employee of the Year
The Employee of the Year award is highly revered and
is given to an employee by their peers for their vision
and leadership. Senior Police Corporal Joe Hoerth was
the 2009 City of Euless Employee of the Year. He
exemplifies leadership and compassion to serve
citizens and his fellow employees. City of Euless
employees nominated Joe for being an outstanding
servant to this community and his dedication to serve
those around him.
In addition, he was praised for his tireless work in the community with the Bicycle Rodeo, Police Summer Camp, DARE program, Neighborhood Watch program, Apartment Manager's Association and C-CAT team.
"Officer Joe" is a well-known face of the Euless Police Department for many years now. He has visited local Nursing Homes on Thanksgiving just to brighten their day. He has also received letters of accommodation for assisting an elderly woman who had a very large load in the bed of her truck that was about to collapse. He also helped to corral a loose cow along Mid-Cities Blvd. on his way home after a 12- hour shift.
It makes no difference what his assignment is, he comes to work every day with a servant's heart. He will bring all he has each day and do all that he can.
Congratulations Joe on being selected as the 2009 Employee of the Year!
