Educate Yourself About Gas Leases in North Texas
With the influx of gas leasing occurring in our neighborhoods, the need for more information about the leasing process and neighborhood negotiations is great. The City of Euless coordinated a Euless Gas Lease Forum in April to give residents an opportunity to ask questions and get responses directly from the source.
If you were unable to attend, this forum was recorded as a resource for residents. You may still view this forum through streaming video on the Euless website or on the Euless Cable Channel 16 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily. Presenters Ed Ireland, executive director of the Barnett Shale Energy Education Council and Robert West, partner in the law office of Whitaker, Chalk, Swindle and Sawyer, LLP gave an overview of the drilling process, the benefits it provides to our community, tips for neighborhoods negotiating leases and important clauses to look for in the lease.
