Euless Library Foundation Continues Work on New Art Project
The Euless Library Foundation (ELF), in conjunction with the Euless Historical Preservation Committee, has commissioned an artist to create a very special tile mural depicting the history of Euless which will be displayed permanently in the library. Groups and individuals have the opportunity to participate in this project by sponsoring a tile. Prices range from $25 for a book spine with a family name on it to a 12" x 12" pictorial tile for $900. Tiles are priced at $60, $75, $300, $450 and $575. Each tile may be personalized if desired. ELF has a list of tiles and prices available on their web site at www.eulesslibraryfoundation.org or by calling 817-571-9939.
The Euless Public Library's expansion provides more space for our patrons. We have:
- A new Genealogy and Local History Room
- A quiet reading area
- Two individual study rooms
- New carpeting and wallpaper
We hope you enjoy these new renovations as much as we do!
September is Library Card November Elections Sign-Up Month
Possessing a library card gives you a competitive advantage. How? By giving you free access to information that will help you succeed in life. Find information for writing reports or researching any subject you are interested in. We also know how to have fun! Pick up a new bestseller, DVD, audio books or the latest music CD. We'll have some fun giveaways this month and more surprises.
- Libraries are unique in that they offer lifelong learning - and welcome everyone from preschool age to well beyond retirement age.
- Libraries are a place for education and selfhelp. Because they bring access to all, they bring opportunity to all.
- Your public library is a goldmine of books, magazines, movies, CDs and other great stuff for the whole family. And all it takes is a library card.
