City of Euless 2007 Employee of the Year Announced
The City of Euless is filled with great employees and Cary Stevenson is no exception. He is the embodiment of hard work, determination and loyalty. Stevenson is a Field Tech III for the Euless Parks Department and has dedicated 25 years of service to this city.
Do you ever notice how good our grounds look? Stevenson and his crew are responsible for maintaining the park grounds throughout the city which include mowing, trimming, picking up trash, cleaning all pavilions, grills and picnic stations, and making sure that our parks are safe for our citizens. Much of what he does rarely receives recognition and he does what is asked without question. He just does it. He has never turned down an additional responsibility or request from his supervisors. He'll do whatever is asked of him and never complains.
Stevenson has never once called in sick. He's always the first one at the shop, ready to go to work and he makes sure that everyone else is ready also. On cold, winter mornings, Stevenson starts each truck, turns on the heaters and defrost so that when the work day begins, everyone will be ready to go to work.
Nominations for the Employee of the Year award are submitted by peers. He has a position that rarely if ever puts him in contact with employees outside of his department, yet some of the adjectives used to describe Cary in these nominations included reliable, trustworthy, devoted, honest, heart of a champion, drive, man of integrity, great representative of our city, man of character and constant.
Congratulations Cary on being selected as the 2007 Employee of the Year!
