EULESS JUNIOR ANGLERS DAY
Saturday, August 18, 9 a.m. - Noon
Wilshire Park, 315 Sierra Dr.
Join us at Wilshire Park for a great day of
family fun! The Texas Junior Anglers
organization will stock Wilshire pond with
500 pounds of catfish. It's absolutely free, and
equipment will be available for all the kids
who need it. Great prizes will be given out in
various age groups and categories. The
tournament is for kids only, but parents may
fish after the competition. Free for all

GREETING U.S. SOLDIERS - R&R FLIGHTS at DFW AIRPORT
August 20 - 26
The U.S. Soldiers are coming home for their
2-week R&R and the City of Euless will once
again be a proud participant in the R&R
Flight Program to welcome them home.
Flights will arrive daily at DFW Airport from
August 20-26. To determine the time of the
flights before arriving at DFW, please call the
R&R update hotline at 972-574-0392. Plan to
call after 8 p.m. the night before as well as in
the morning to confirm that the flight is ontime.
The City of Euless will provide
transportation to those who need it and in
addition, parking coupons are available from
Airport personnel so no one will have to pay
to park. Each soldier is provided a goodie-bag
that contains snacks and other items. There
will be 250 - 300 soldiers arriving each day, so
any donations are needed. Any items received
will definitely be used. Call Mary at 817-685-

EULESS BICYCLE RODEO AND SAFETY FAIR
Saturday, September 15, 9 a.m. - Noon
Parks at Texas Star, 1501 S. Pipeline
The City of Euless would like both kids
and parents to remember the
importance of bicycle safety as students
head back to school. Kids will ride a street
course with a police officer and learn how
to negotiate our city streets more safely.
Various organizations from the area will
have safety related displays for families to discuss. Also
enjoy free refreshments, bounce houses and a lot more!

STARS OVER EULESS

The City of Euless and the Planetarium
at UTA will once again present Stars
Over Euless. Staff members from the new
$2.2 million Planetarium at UT Arlington
will point out stars and planets in the
nighttime sky that we sleep under each
evening. This event will also celebrate the
30th anniversary of the release of Star Wars. We'll have
special door prizes and characters from the movie will
make an appearance. Planetarium staff will also bring out
powerful telescopes so kids can gaze into outer space and
learn about the order and function of stars and planets in
the sky. Bring out a flashlight and blanket for the entire
family and enjoy a great evening of educational fun. Free
for everyone!

Everyone needs a fun and safe way to celebrate
Halloween! Join us at the Midway Recreation
Center for a great evening of fun. There will be
free bounce houses, inflatable obstacle courses,
live entertainment and carnival games for kids

Come out and enjoy some free entertainment
before the start of the parade. This event is
designed just for kids and includes carnival
games, arts and crafts, bounce houses, and
more! Plus, get a chance to take your picture

14th ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARADE OF LIGHTS "A Cartoon Christmas"
Saturday, December 1, 6:30 p.m.
Midway Recreation Center, 300 W. Midway Dr.
The Parade begins at 6:30 p.m. at Midway Dr. and
Bear Creek Parkway. It will travel west on Midway
and end at Trinity high School. Let's get animated!
Let your imagination run wild as you consider this
year's theme - "A Cartoon Christmas". We want
cartoon characters from each decade represented
at this year's parade - from Betty Boop to the
Power Rangers. Don't dare miss this year's
spectacular parade of moving lights. We encourage
families, individuals, organizations and businesses
to enter floats. After the parade, join us at Trinity
High School for float award announcements. For

HERITAGE PARK CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Heritage Park, 201 Cullum Dr.
Celebrate an old fashioned Christmas at historic Heritage Park.
Members of the Euless Historical Preservation Society will
conduct guided tours of the 151 year old Himes Log House and
the Fuller House, both decorated for the holiday
season. You can listen to choirs
sing your Christmas favorites, visit our petting zoo
or ride the Christmas choo-choo. Kids can visit
with Santa and make their own Christmas
ornaments. We'll have free refreshments for
