Gary McKamie Announced New City Manager for Euless

Gary McKamie The City of Euless is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary McKamie as the next City Manager. McKamie holds a degree in Criminal Justice from Dallas Baptist University and has served as Deputy City Manager of Euless for the past eight years. The final selection of the City Manager was made by City Council.

Prior to 1999 McKamie was Chief of Police and has worked for the city for more than 33 years. McKamie has been with the city since 1973, where he began as a dispatcher. He became Chief of Police in 1993 and has been instrumental in several accomplishments including the passage of the crime tax, the establishment of the Citizens Police Academy and the building plans of the new police and courts facility. "I look forward to working closely with City Council, staff and the citizens of Euless," said McKamie.

"Gary McKamie has been a tremendously dedicated Deputy City Manager and talented leader who has generously devoted himself to Euless. He has been a great colleague and partner for the past eight and a half years and I couldn't have asked for anyone better to work with on the tough issues that have faced Euless throughout the years. His extensive knowledge and insight have served Euless well," said Hennig.
