National Night Out
The 24th National Night Out will be held at a different time this year. Please mark your calendars for 6-10 p.m. on Saturday, October 13. National Night Out is an effort to discourage crime and to get to know your neighbors. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships and to send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are fighting back.
Euless neighborhoods are encouraged to:
- Turn on your front porch light
- Participate in block parties or cookouts
- Receive visits from Police and Fire personnel
- Hold parades
- Flashlight walks
- Contests
- Youth programs
NNO has proven to be an effective, inexpensive and enjoyable program to promote neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships in our fight for a safer nation.
