Euless Announces New Police Chief
Euless City Manager Joe Hennig announced in January that Michael Brown has accepted the position of Chief of Police for the City of Euless.
Brown has served as Chief of Police for UNT Health Science Center since 2003. Prior to that, he worked in the Euless Police Department for 25 years, where he began as Patrol Officer. He was then promoted through the ranks to Lieutenant and retired in 2002. Prior to his tenure with the City of Euless, he worked for the City of Richland Hills.
"Mike Brown has lived in Euless nearly all his life and will be serving a city he dearly loves. He will be a great chief for the employees and a great chief for the community," said City Manager Joe Hennig. "We are pleased to have him as an integral member of our staff."
Brown graduated from Trinity High School in Euless in 1973. He holds an Associates Degree in Law Enforcement from Tarrant County Junior College and a Bachelors degree of Applied Arts and Science from UNT. He was awarded the Master Peace Officer Certification in 1997. Brown and his wife Anicia live in Euless. They have three children: Clint, Aja and Leland.
