19TH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING EVENT
Saturday, January 12, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Midway Park, 300 W. Midway Drive
Don't throw away your Christmas tree: Recycle it! The city uses the mulch throughout the year to maintain city parks and medians. Residents may bring their own bag to fill with mulch for their gardens or flowers. Limit one bag per person. The Parks Department may work with residents on additional quantities if available. Residents may dispose of LIVE Christmas trees only (with no ornaments or lights) at the designated area of Midway Park between December 26 - January 12. On January 12 the city will host a tree mulching demonstration and will give away bags of mulch and tree saplings to the public. Additionally, hot dogs and drinks will be available for free to anyone who participates in the recycling event. For more information call 817-685-1650.

FREE day of fitness! All Euless residents are welcome to come by and use the facilities for FREE! Personal trainers and various program instructors will be available for questions and demonstrations. The recreation center has one basketball court, two racquetball courts, 4500 sq. ft. fitness center, indoor walking/jogging track, and four classrooms used for programs and rentals. Programs include: martial arts, swimming lessons, dance, child development, sports, and fitness classes. Start out the year right and join today! Annual membership start as low as $5 a year. GREETING U.S. SOLDIERS - R&R FLIGHTS at DFW AIRPORT
D/FW Airport, February 11 - 17
The U.S. Soldiers are coming home for their 2 week R&R and the City of Euless will once again be a proud participant in the R&R Flight Program to welcome them home. Flights will arrive daily at DFW Airport from February 11-17. To determine the time of the flights before arriving at DFW, please call the R&R update hotline at 972-574-0392. Plan to call after 8 p.m. the night before as well as in the morning to confirm that the flight is on-time. The City of Euless will provide transportation to those who need it and in addition, parking coupons are available from Airport personnel so no one will have to pay to park. Each soldier is provided a goodie-bag that contains snacks and other items. Donations are accepted. Please sign up by January 30 and you will receive a free t-shirt. A registration form may be downloaded from www.euless.org. Call Ofa "Mary" at 817-685-1649 to sign up or to arrange donations.

EASTER EGG STUFFING PARTY

Come out and join us for our Annual Easter Egg Stuffing Party. We will have over 5000 plastic eggs to stuff with tons of candy so we can use all the help we get! EASTER EGG SCRAMBLE

What's an Easter Egg Scramble? Come out and see! It's a mad dash by over 500 kids to snatch up as many toy and candy filled plastic eggs as they can. We will have bounce houses, games and face painting. Enjoy free entertainment by the Singing Ackermans as they sing some old fashioned cowboy songs. Each scramble will be separated into different age groups as listed below.

The City of Euless Parks & Community Services Department designs, implements and produces several special events throughout the year. Each one is special & unique and is centered on the family. We need volunteers for each event because without volunteers our events would not survive.
