Let's Talk about Books, 1:30-3:15 p.m.
Join our monthly book discussion group. The meetings, held September through June, feature talks by guest speakers, as well as discussions of books members have read. Meetings take place the first Tuesday of the month (except September when it is the second Tuesday of the month).

Euless Library Foundation
meets the third Thursday of each month at 6 p.m.

Library Board
meets the first Thursday of the month at 7 p.m.

Friends of the Library
hosts a book sale twice a year.

Computer Classes
The library is offering computer classes. Please call the Adult Reference Desk for the current class offerings and schedule.

Pardon Our Dust

The Euless Library will undergo renovation and expansion during December and January. During this time, new study rooms will be added as well as a new genealogy/Euless history room, new carpeting and other improvements throughout the building. The Library could possibly close for a day or two during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience.

National Library Week: April 13-19

Join the circle of knowledge @ your library. Join the Library as we celebrate National Library Week 2008 April 13-19. First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country each April. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. Plan to visit the library to participate in fun events.

Tax Help

Each year, the Library hosts volunteers from AARP to provide free tax help. Volunteers will be here on Tuesdays from 4 - 8 p.m. and Saturdays from noon - 4 p.m. beginning Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, and ending on Saturday, April 12, 2008. Free tax assistance is available by appointment only. The Library also provides tax forms as well as reference resources such as "J.K. Lasser's Your Income Tax." The Texas State Electronic Library is a collection of databases on any and all subjects and they are all accessible from home. Got a paper due tomorrow? You can go online at any time and research any subject area, plus find lots of newspaper and magazine articles. For access, visit www.euless.org/library, click on Online Catalog, then to E-Sources and choose from a selection of databases. Use RMN1130 as the login and TX76039 as the password.

Find valuable local, regional and national U.S. newspapers as well as full-text content of key international sources - all in one easy-to-search database with a world map. Each provides unique coverage of local and regional news, including business, politics, sports, industries, cultural activities, and people in the community, as well as a distinctive focus offering a variety of viewpoints on local and world issues. NoveList

NoveList is a database of over 143,000 titles where you can find all sorts of resources for exploring fiction. For example, you can use your favorite author to find other books you might enjoy in Author Read-A-Likes. Also check out the book discussion guides, and awards lists. NoveList is available to you in the library or from home via our online catalog. For access, go to www.euless.org/library, click on Online Catalog, then to E-Sources and click on NoveList. Polaris

Our online catalog can help make your life easier. You can log on anytime, day or night, and search for titles, place holds, and renew items from home. You can also check on the items you have checked out, items on hold, items overdue and if you have any fines. You will need your library card number and a PIN number. Call or drop by the Circulation Desk for more information or to get a PIN number.

Friends of the Library Book Sale

Watch for news about the Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale. Donations are always welcome. Just bring them to the library and we'll even help you carry them in.
