A request from Allied Waste Services and Community Waste Disposal (CWD) has been approved for a 5.1% rate increase to business and residential solid waste collections as well as single-family and apartment recycling collections. The franchise agreement with Allied and CWD calls for the provider to receive a Consumer Price Index (CPI) increase after the third year of the five-year agreement.
