Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Euless Revitalization Program?

The Euless Revitalization Program is a coalition of various volunteer groups working with the City of Euless to assist Euless homeowners who are unable to complete necessary repairs to their homes because of difficulties or circumstances beyond their control.

How do I apply to the ER Program?

To apply for assistance through the ER Program, please complete the application packet and return it to the Euless Public Library Attention: Susan Neal. An ER committee member will contact you within 1-2 weeks from the date the application is submitted to discuss your situation, schedule an inspection of your property, and answer any questions you might have about the program. If you need assistance with this application please call Ken Rawlinson at 817-685-1636.

Am I eligible to receive assistance from the ER Program?

The ER program is designed to assist those homeowners who have the greatest need for assistance and are unable to perform the necessary work themselves. Certain guidelines must be met before a homeowner will be considered eligible for assistance through the ER program. These include but are not limited to income restrictions, length of time at current residence. Additional consideration is given to homeowners who are disabled, chronically ill, elderly, or a single head of household with dependents under the age of 18 living with them. If you would like to discuss your specific situation with a member of the ER Committee please call 817-685-1636.

How long does it take for my home to be repaired?

Once it is determined that a homeowner is eligible for the ER program, their address will be added to a list of homes currently needing assistance. This list is shared with volunteer organizations who have partnered with the City of Euless to assist with the ER Program. Volunteers include churches, businesses, civic organizations and individuals who have a desire to help. These are the organizations that will ultimately select your specific home and complete the necessary repairs. Since this is a volunteer based program, we cannot guarantee a time frame of when or if your home will be chosen from this list. It is also a possibility that only a portion of the needed repairs will be completed at any given time due to the limitations of the volunteer organizations.

How can I volunteer for the ER Program?

The easiest way to get involved is to complete a volunteer form. This form will allow you to specify how you would like to help and give us important contact information to reach you when a project becomes available that meets your criteria. There is almost always a project underway somewhere in the city and we will be happy to help you pair up with one of these volunteers teams.

Can I donate building materials/furniture/appliances to the ER Program?

Yes, if you have new or gently used items that may be used in the process of restoring and remodeling homes please contact us at 817-685-1636. Many homes that qualify for this program also have broken appliances and worn out furniture. We are more than happy to find a new home for your donated materials and have made arrangements with some of our partnering non-profit organizations to help you receive tax credit for goods and services that are donated to the program by furnishing you with a Charitable Contribution Letter for tax purposes. This means that you may be able to receive tax benefits while doing something valuable for our community.
